| Love Potion #9 To Be performed on the 9th day of the 9th month |
| ~ 9 oz. sweet red wine ~ 9 basil leaves ~ 9 red rose petals ~ 9 cloves ~ 9 apple seeds ~ 9 drops of vanilla extract ~ 9 drops of strawberry juice ~ 9 drops of apple juice ~ 1 ginseng root, cut into 9 equal pieces. |
| By the light of 9 votive candles, put these 9 ingredients in a cauldron on the ninth hour of the nineth day of the nineth month. Stir the potion 9 times with a wooden spoon each time reciting: LET THE ONE WHO DRINKS THIS WINE SHOWER ME WITH LOVE DIVINE. SWEET LOVE POTION NUMBER NINE MAKE HIS/HER LOVE FOREVER MINE. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 9 minutes. Remove the cauldron from the heat and let the potion cool off. Blow 9 times on the potion and bless it with the name of the nine goddesses of love: Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Hathor, Nephthys, Aphrodite, Venus, Freya, Arianrhod. Then strain it through a clean cheesecloth into a clean container. Cover and refrigerate it until you are ready to serve it to the man or woman who you desire love and affection from. DO NOT let anyone else touch, look at, or drink the love potion. |

| ~ 1 pinch of rosemary ~ 2 teaspoons of black tea ~ 3 pinches of thyme ~ 3 pinches of nutmeg ~ 3 fresh mint leaves ~ 6 fresh rose petals ~ 6 lemon leaves ~ 3 cups of pure spring water ~ Sugar ~ Honey |
| To make another person fall in love with you, brew this tea on a Friday during a waxing moon (from empty to full moon.) Place all ingredients in an earthenware, or a copper tea kettle. Boil three cups of pure spring water. Then add the rest of the ingredients to the kettle. Sweeten with sugar and honey, if desired.
