The members of HIM were sat backstage
They all sat thinking about the upcoming gig
While Linde drank his beer and Ville lit a cig
They were called on, so they left where they were sat
Gas grabbed his drumsticks and Burton his hat
They headed on towards the stage door
Followed by Ville Valo and Mige Amour
Ville approached the mic to start the song
When he quickly realised something was wrong
He saw Mige then Gas and Burton too
His cigarette, but someone else who?
His memory was failing and he was in a dash
"Why when I was young did I do so much hash!"
Then it clicked and he felt a bit silly
As he remembered about their guitarist Lily
He looked at the others with an inquisitive stare
"Why didn't anyone notice he wasn't there?"
They looked back blankly and started wondering
Then said simultaneously "he never says anything!"
Mige put down his base and ran off in a rage
"I'll kill him if hes still drinking backstage!"
But when he found no one he let out cry
"Where in all hell is our Danny Lioneye?"
Ville jumped off the stage and out of the club
He ran round the corner, straight to the pub
He came bursting in looking left and right
But no sign of Linde having anymore tonight
Ville became angry, then worried, then sad
Where was dear Lily? Did we make him mad?
Mige met him outside and tried to find hope
then they both realised "hes been doing dope!"
Burton and Gas were left on stage alone
They could never play the gig on their own
So they yelped "its ok they'll be back in a mo
if they finally find the white bombo"
Burton noticed Lindes Gibson, in tune and plugged in
Maybe he could try do the intro to 'Gone with the sin'
"Maybe I could just have one go
After all no one will know"
So he picked it up and out the amp came a roar
The audience were laughing, almost on the floor
The from somewhere arose such a yell
It was Linde and he was angry as hell
Then Valo came back, Mige following his lead
"Where have you been, you've been doing weed!"
"Never mind that Burtons touched my baby
That gear is mine Gibson and Laney
He was really mad now and wipped out a razor
"You'll be sorry you took something from Lily Lazer"
Burton put down the Gibson he knew he was done
he glanced at the others who all shouted "RUN!"
He ran backstage, Mige and Ville behind
Linde tried to stab, he was out of his mind
Burton ran to the bar to find glasses and bottles
He grabbed the first one, luckily Jack Daniels
Linde was mesmorised with the bottle in front of his face
"I'm sorry Lily, its just your guitar looked out of place
After all without you the guitar god there
to have it stood alone wouldn't be fair"
Linde drooled and nodded accepting the apology
But it was only the booze that had convinced Lily
His violence had gone and the guys sighed with relief
and reminded themselves he was just a drunk underneath
