It was Lindes birthday and 'Daniel Lioneye - The King of Rock n Roll' album was in production. The rest of the band had decided to take him out for the day to celebrate. But there was only one person he had wanted to celebrate with.
Everyone had met in the recording studio that morning where they all gave their presents and good wishes to Linde. Most of the presents had been alcohol related, apart from Ville's as he had given him a book on meditation. While everyone was busy talking Linde looked down at his book, reading the blurb and taking a general interest. He was interupted by a hand on his shoulder, startling him slightly.
"Hey you haven't opened my present yet Lintti." Linde turned round to see a familiar face, a very beautiful face that he had often wished to kiss over and over. He snapped out of his small fantasy as he was handed a small box. He slowly opened it to find a long hippyish necklace, made of beads with an anhk on the end. He immediatley took it out of the box, it was exactly what he had wanted to buy when they had been on their trip to Nepal together, but he had not been able to get it because the day after he had seen it, it had been sold.
"Thank you so much Mige, its beautiful."They embraced in a hug and Mige kissed his cheek, making Linde go a little weak at the knees. Mige pulled away and grabbed Lindes hand "C'mon, we're going now." He dragged him towards the others who were leaving the studio. Why can't us two just stay here, Linde pleaded to himself, yet knowing it would probably never happen.
"Don't tell him where we're taking him!" Ville warned with a sly grin on his face "its a surprise"
"Oh dear" Linde muttered unenthusiastically. He was silently wishing Ville didn't have to be there. After all it seemed like Ville was the one stopping his feelings being known to Mige. Him and Mige always kissed in front of cameras or wherever, but everyone knows that was their little act and their friendship. Linde felt if they ever did anything like kiss it was because they were friends, but he was sure he felt something even more special.
Ville and Mige joked the entire journey about what Lindes 'surprise' was, making him wish more and more it wasn't his birthday and Ville wasn't there. Like when they went on trips to eastern countries together, Ville was never there and Linde didn't have to feel like the gooseberry.
Once they arrived the first thing Linde saw was a guy flying downwards towards the ground, attached to a tall crane by a bungee cord.
"SURPRISE!!!" Ville and Mige shouted stupidly in a midst of excitement.
"Im doing a bungee jump??" Linde asked, his baby blue eyes lighting up.
"Yup" Burton answered "but first..." Linde turned towards him to find that Burton was holding a rather undecorative flat cake with a number of candles sticking out at the edges. Suddenly every one started singing happy birthday and Lindes cheeks went slightly red with embarassment, but all the same he was a little happier now. He blew out the candles, right after Ville had finished lighting his cigarette on one. Everyone took a slice of cake, apart from Ville who sat laughing at it and warned Linde that it was Mige who had offered to bake it. Linde smiled but didn't take any either because he wasn't too keen on eating (when he could be drinking). Mige tried to get him to have some and started feeding bits of it to him, which soon made Lily accept and eat it. Ville was still laughing at the cake not daring to have any.
"C'mon I'm not feeding it to you too, only to the birthday boy." Linde blushed slightly.
"That has to be the worst cake I've ever seen " Ville said between bursts of laughter
"So are you not going to have any then?" Mige said, a bit upset
"Well no considering that you've probably put coca cola or sumthing in it."
"Well I couldn't put brandy or anything if I wanted to have any."He answered bluntly.
Every one looked at their slice of cake they were eating and slowly put it down, apart from Gas who seemed to be enjoying it.
Later after a few beers Linde was preparing for his bungee jump. He was a little nervous, but looking forward to it.
"C'mon Linde, theres another beer waiting for you at the bottom" Ville shouted up to him. He was surprised he could hear him considering how high up he was. Linde peared over the edge and laughed at the comments he was getting from his friends, but also looking at how far down they were. His hand trembled slightly but stopped as soon as Mige put his on top.
"C'mon your gonna enjoy this" He said carressing his hand gently. He had offered to stand with him at the top and of course Linde was grateful.
"When ever your ready" The guy told him. Linde wasn't too keen on going now that he was alone with Mige.
"See you at the bottom dear" Mige said before planting a deep kiss on Lindes lips. It surprised Linde at first but it felt good and he knew then that it was more that just friends. When They pulled back, before he could say anything Mige pushed him and he went flying towards the ground, feeling like the best man in the world.he world.
