~ Bazi Tea ~
Bazi tea is drunk from three small cups and heavily sugared.  The Nomads of the Tahari prize Bazi tea and import it in great quantity.
Tea is extremely important to the Nomads.  It is served hot and heavily sugared.
It gives them strength then, in virtue of the sugar, and cools them, by making
them sweat as well as stimulating them.  It is drunk three small cups at a time, carefully measured.

"Is it ready yet?" I asked.  I looked at the tiny copper kettle on the small stand.  A tiny kailla-dung fire burned under it.  A small, heavy, curved glass was nearby, on a flat box, which would hold some two ounces of the tea.  Bazi tea is drunk in tiny glasses, usually three at a time, carefully measured.

"I feared when I first saw you," said the girl, measuring the tea from a tiny tin box, "that you had come to carry me off."

Hot Bazi tea I wanted.  This is an important trade item in the North.  I now knew why.  The southern sugars are also popular.  I had originally supposed this was because of their sweetness, there being few sweet items, save some berries, in the North.  I now began to suspect that the calories of the sugars also played their role in their popularity.

~ Bazi Tea Ceremony ~
** Online cyberism only **
This intricate serve is similar to black wine when it comes time to add condiments such as creams and sugar but it is drunk three small cups at a time, carefully measured.  A slave will need three tiny cups, a serving tray, small saucers of red and yellow sugar, and a full teapot.  Tea leaves are measured from a small tin bow and brewed in a tiny copper kettle from the fire.
