I love all the animations that are made at The Friend Society, but a favourite animator in particular is Xenon. Although Xenon admits that he gets most of his inspiration from Juho, and Juho admits he gets most of his inspiration from SomethingAwful.com, I still think Xenon has some amazing original talent. "Bird" was the first Dace/Xenon collaboration which made it on the front page of TheFriendSociety.com. Dace did the artwork and the music, while Xenon did the voice-work and the animation. I think it's one of the most underrated pieces on the website (as opposed to Juho taking Wenis' "butt" emoticon and lets it play under farting noises, and the TFSers hail it as a masterpiece. I'm not saying I didn't like it, I'm just making a comparison). I decided to do a tribute to this animation by doing a "ReMix" (the capital "M" is from ocremix.org, it seems to make the term of taking something and re-inventing it alot cooler). I remade the animation, but kept the original sound (I had to record it manually), then put a drumming track over it, some extra music at the end and TADA! The people at TFS seemed to like it (including Xenon and Juho). The drum track is "32 Ways to Die" by Sum 41. I like the band, especially their tracks from "Chuck", but this is from their EP "Half Hour of Power". I used this same track on another animation, but it's not in this anamography because it wasn't made by "Archfoe". It was for a school project, it's on some Geocities website somewhere but I can't remember the URL. It had a ninja playing drums, with some drums, a ninja, and drumsticks.... |
