| The following training times are the minimum waiting time to be graded to the next belt level. These requirements are usually for above average students. Most students should expect a longer period of time to be graded. As always, it's not really the training time that matters, it is if you are ready to be graded. | ||||||||
| To Yellow belt (Roku-kyu) -No less than 50 hours of training -Must compete in one SWKKF tournament -Pinan Shodan |

| To Orange belt (Go-kyu) -No less than 50 hours of training -Must compete in one SWKKF tournament -Pinan Nidan and perfection of above |
||||||||
| To Green belt (Yon-kyu) -No less than 50 hours of training -Must compete in two SWKKF tournament -Pinan Sandan and perfection of above |

| To Blue belt (San-kyu) -No less than 50 hours of training -Must compete in two SWKKF tournament -Pinan Yodan and perfection of above |

| To Brown belt (Ni-kyu) -No less than 75 hours of training -Must compete in two SWKKF tournament -Pinan Godan and perfection of above |

| To Red belt (Ik-kyu) -No less than 150 to 225 hours of training -Must compete in two SWKKF tournament -Kushanku and perfection of above |
