At the command suarte, the ranking sensei kneels down first and faces shimoseki. Everyone else follows in descending order of rank.
Follow the commands as before:
Seiza!
Mokuso!
*Note : the following may vary.
Yame! (or / and) Tski!
Rei ! (or) Shomen ni, Rei! (or) Sensei ni, Rei! Everyone bows together, facing the ranking sensei or in some cases, the class faces the shomen (black belts) and bows.
Shinzen ni! (or) Sensei ni! (turn towards the shinzen, master Otsuka and Master Shintani)
Rei!
Everyone then truns back to face each other. The ranking sensei stands up first, the everyone else sequentially in order of rank.
*Note: The ranking instructor might say arigato (thank you).
The instructors may perform a standing bow to each other before leaving the floor.
