|
San Juan became one of the pilot areas for the implementation of Vitamin A Plus project dubbed as Pabasa sa Nutrisyon. Aimed at empowering mothers, Nutrition education bacame the strategy to give mothers the tools they need to give their children the proper nutrition. From a target of about 60 mothers spread to 6 Barangays, more than a hundred mothers graduated from the project. More are expected to benefit since the next phase about to be launched would include all the communities of our town. |

The expansion project of Vit A Plus was launched last June 2003 and this time 19 Barangays were involved. The project includes food production and garden paraphernalia were distributed together with the reading materials. Mayor JV Ejercito distributed the garden kits to the Bgy. Captains as Rotarians from San Juan Del Monte, San Juan North, Bulacan, with Dist 3800 Governor and Municipal Councilors look on. |

2004 BIDA award goes to Bgy. Onse for the second time in 2 years. Bgy Batis was second and Rivera was third. This was during the closing ceremony of the Vitamin A Plus project of the Rotary sponsored by RC San Juan Del Monte and RC San Juan North. Presidents Fil and Pilar with ADG Annette handed out the awards. |
