* Earlier: while collecting data for my diploma work in 1995, as well as in 1998 and 1999, I participated in trapping and radio-marking of bears, sponsored by some U.S.A-based institutions. My salary was very large. However, as direct result of our work, many beautiful bears were severely wounded, and one healthy big male bear was even killed. (Later, as result of pain and death that we made to animals, one of our colleagues was killed by a large bear). From 2001, I didn't even try to intervene roughly into animals life. Instead, I started to repair bear winter dens, which Russian hunters damage. Of course, all field work was conducted during summer season, when bears aren't interested in dens. For the first time in my life I felt like doing something useful. Indeed: for zoologist like I was, using very limited budget for little good was much better than using big budget basically for harming our Nature.

** It was easier to go so far in 2006, because I made a lot of money through assisting (during 5 months) in project of Asiatic Black bear rehabilitation in South Korea. I liked working in SK. Their salary permitted me - in just a few months – make enough funds to go to Indonesia. Later on, my parents used to send me money several times, thus enabling me to continue work on prevention of Indonesian environmental crisis. My parents - whenever possible - try to support me financially.

*** One of it's branches extends as far as to Russian Far East, where bears and other animals have to be protected.
