Winter to be Roughest since ‘96

Indian summer with rain chance once a week.   Colder, stormy mid November on with first snow first week December, unpredicted after false alarms.   Snow gone by Christmas with two-week warm-up. January turns cold, stormy but mild third week.   Early spring February.   March in like a lamb, out like a lion.

Most recent drought: 1976-77
Drought ended in November with weekly heavy rains in 7-day cycle cold front passages from Pacific Northwest.   Minor flooding.
