Siyo ignalis....I just came on this site to see it, it's been a long time. I have finished the house, well for now, on the land in AR. My husband and I spent last Fall, Winter, and early Spring there, and then returned to WI, where my other home is located. I was glad to be in a place where the Winter is only a month and a half, compared to WI, where it's about 7 months.
I enjoyed seeing the shrubs, trees and flowers I had planted the year before blossom in Spring. I had never spent the entire time in AR before. I had traveled back and forth the year before, overseeing the building, landscaping, and the harvesting of some of the timber.
I took a trip to Tahlequah, and stayed in a home built on land allotted at the time after the Trail of Tears. It was good to feel the presence of all those who had come there before me. This is the link of the Western Cherokee Nation, which is located in Tahlequah. The National Holiday is coming up quickly....Sunday September 4th. Visit the site and see what they do to commemorate the "Trail of Tears". Also, the Heritage Center is located just down from where I stayed, at Herrin's Riverside Bed and Breakfast. Thank you so much for your talks and your insight. This would be an ideal place for a small gathering, of like minded, spiritually based people.
You know that since locating my home in Hector, AR, I have become interested in the programming, for the elders, and teens of the community; as well as the programs for domestic violence, and sexual assault. We are still working on getting the "Brown and Sikes Senior Center", up and running. We've had some setbacks, human and nature; but now we are on the land. Most of the outside work is done, and we are moving into the inside. We are still planning on this being the location for programming for teens, elders, and perhaps an "outreach" location for "crisis intervention" services.
The Mayor of Hector, Martha Owens, and her husband, Carroll, have been very instrumental in getting this project off the paper, and on the ground. Thanks to people like this, who give so much of themselves, to benefit their communities. But they were not alone, many have volunteered time and materials to make this a viable project.
I would love to pay another visit to Buckhorn Inn, in Gatlinburg, TN. Perhaps, I can meet you over there...traveling from the Ozarks in AR, to the Smoky's. If you are interested in joining us, please email me. As I said this is next to the Smoky Moutains; and last time we drove over into North Carolina, through the Smoky's, and visited the The Museum of the Cherokee Indian. The accomodations are diverse; and vary from cottages, to personal residences, to bed and breakfast facilities. Their gourmet food is exquisite, but only adds to an already phenomenal time.
I am still working with COUPLES, who wish to "Enhance Their Intimacy" The focus of this approach is enhancing your intimacy, through a wholistic approch....involving the heart, mind, soul, body, and space. I will be drawing from such disciplines as, Naturopathy, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Feng Shui, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Herbal Medicine. I continue to do individual work, of course, focusing on whatever yours needs might be; with an internal spiritual guidance, as the key focus.
Peace be with all of you....Jes |
