Appearance:

Jered has dirty blonde hair though it is lighter then it used to be thanks to the Florida Sun. He has a tendency to let it grow during the summer so he has to keep swiping his bangs from his grey eyes. He stands at 6'3" and is built like a school Quidditch player due to the fact he plays Quidditch. He has a strong square jaw, high cheekbones that many girls would fight for and a long, straight nose that tells people instantly what his Family name is for it is the Harding nose.

Personality Quirks:

A typical Rakin, he does before he thinks and usually ends up in trouble because of that. He has a very short temper, especially when it is his beliefs that are attacked or the people he holds closest to his heart. He is more likely to use his fists then his wand despite being a Pureblood.

Family Life:

Like most other well-known Pureblood Family in America, the Hardings of Virginia, have two faces. The mask they show to outsiders and the public is a family of happiness and there-for-each-other with a devoted Father. But beneath the mask is the real face, ugly and distorted.
In total, there are eleven children in the Harding clan, Jered being the eldest.
Jered's father is Bryson Harding who is the Magical Governor of Virginia and a very powerful man in the State of Virginia. He is seen as honest and is respected by all who work for him. Really, Bryson is ruthless and is slowly plotting to rid the State's government of all Muggleborns and perhaps even Half-bloods. But he is being clever, making sure he only talks to Purebloods he is certain won't rattle his plans if he confides in them and keeping a few Muggleborns in key positions until the last minute. With his children behind the walls, Bryson only devotes time to Jered as he is the eldest. Bryson will only pay attention to the others if they are on show as a family or if he is making connections with another Pureblood family and it involves a that child isn't Jered. Bryson used to harm and beat Jered by using magic but this stopped when Jered proved he was more then a match for his father.
Jered's mother was a kind woman but had little will power of her own after having so many children, one straight after another almost. She used to be a large part of Jered's life when he was a toddler but separated herself from him and his younger brother and sister when the fourth child arrived. She died during Christmas break of Jered's Fourth year.

History:

Having believed in everything his Father believed in, Jered was among the worst Pureblood chauvinistic pigs Penn U had ever seen. And he would target all this prejudice at one person - Sarah Mason - a Muggleborn who showed him up in Charms. But then adolescences hit and his feelings for her developed into their true form - love (or something like that). This did not please his brother, Isaac, or his father. His father assaulted him one last time before Jered retaliated (causing a permanent diagonal scar across Bryson's left cheek) and ran away. He spent two years on the run, made some new friends who helped him survive. But he has now gone back to the Harding mansion in Virginia because of his sister Hannah.

Fears:

Being controlled by his father for the rest of his life; never seeing Sarah again.

Hopes:

To be left to live his own life, with Sarah on his arm.

Interests:

Quidditch and Quodpot and any other sport that ends with at least one person breaking bones. The Muggle World.
