Sea on turn one and miss the sub, after return fire, decides to run, can it run through the Suez canal if German takes Egypt during the combat round? Answer; You or your Allies must own both Egypt and Syria at the beginning of your turn in order to move through the Suez Canal. If Germany has taken Egypt that turn, the sub can still move through as the Allies did own the two bordering countries, since you did own them at the start of the turn. Germany taking Egypt won't close the Suez during the German turn, nor will it open it to German movement. 22. Since on the classic board, the blow up boxes at the bottom right of the board do not exist and you can go from the New Zealand sea zone to the western South America sea zone, if one has a ship in the sea zone just to the north east sea zone above New Zealand, how would they get to the same western South America sea zone? Answer; From the "South Pacific" (text) sea zone, you could go west to the zone north of the Caroline Islands blow up box, then to the western SA sea zone or down to the New Zealand sea zone and to the western SA sea zone. 23. Is the sea zone below Australia one sea or two? Answer; One 24. In tournament play, if no clear cut winner can be determined between sides, please verify how the judges determine a winner? Answer;If no clear winner may be determined at the end of regulation play between sides, Judges will determine the outcome by determining which team has the ADVANTAGE in the game at the end of the regulated time. What this means is; the team which is closer to their victory conditions as a side, either Axis or Allies, within a round or two of the regulated play will be demmed the winner. For the Axis, they must be very close to having obtained the 84 IPC.�s, capturing at least one capital and having a very strong overall presence in the game. (Economic victory of 84 IPC�s is an automatic victory for the Axis at the end of one complete round of play!) The Axis needs to be moving towards winning the game and not playing to prevent a loss.
