The Hooters remain one of only two undefeated sides in Foxy's Thursday night A Grade Mens Basketball competition after an awesome defensive effort Thursday night.
Led by inspirational captain Aaron Winder,The Hooters held Mangina to a paultry 20 points, the lowest score by a Hooters opponent in franchise history!
While the Hooters defense was clicking, so was the offense, as The Hooters 2nd leading scorer, Point Guard Ross Williams (pictured below), went for a game high 20 points on the back of superb outside shooting in a welcome return to form in his 2nd game back from a calf injury.
While Williams was out injured, his team didn't skip a beat as league scoring leader Craig Nelson took his game to a new level, setting TWO Hooters franchise record scores, Nelson struggled a little this week though as he battled a bout of the flu.
The Hooters looked an ominous unit as they fielded their full squad for the first time this season, with gun recruit, SF Darren 'Fresh' Henderson, PF Chadd 'The' Tonkin and Paul 'Linus' Cheverton all suiting up alongside big man Damien Wood, the captain (Winder), Nelson and Williams.
The Hooters now look forward to a big game against The Viagra Falls next thursday!
