So you are celebrating "christ's mass"-the largest catholic gathering in the world. They have fooled you into thinking that it is Christ's birthday, but there is no evidence that Christ was born on December 25-in fact it was the worship of the sun god 'Saturnalia'. The sun god was worshipped from December 22 because it was the time of the 'winter solstice', when the sun travelled furthest south of the equator-the first day in winter.
During the time of Christ the Romans ruled the world. They wanted to find a way to rule to our present day so they created the worship of saints such as St. Nicholas and St. Valentine and many more. In the Roman catholic faith people prayed to the saints for protection instead of praying to God. They even confessed their sins to a priest instead of confessing to God.
Did you know that the Catholics have their own false version of the Holy Bible called the 'Apocrypha'? So when you celebrate something are'nt you agreeing with what is stated? "Easter mass" will soon be here-there is no evidence that Christ was crucified in April. As a matter of fact the 'mother & child' goddess 'Ishtar' was worshipped during the time of 'Easter'.
The Celtic people used to carry an evergreen tree to burn to their gods Odin and Friga and they also offered sweet drinks and food to their gods as gifts at the end of the year. The Druids had mistletoe, holly sprigs and branches brought into their homes because they thought they had healing powers. They said they were offered kisses by the fertility god Ferah when they stepped under the mistletoe.
Christmas was once abolished during the reformation and was brought back by the Catholics in 1660. The Vatican and Romans tried to compete with the pagans by adopting the holiday. God hates Christmas because of what it represents-idolatry. Here are three verses in the Bible that speak against the rituals of christmas: [Jeremiah 10:3-5]"For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good."
So think carefully about what you celebrate and educate yourself so that no one can fool you into doing something that others do. Will you continue to follow the crowd by thinking the wrong things or will you find the way that only a few will find?
