| Fellow children of this peninsula! Among the most important qualities of this peninsula is its implementation of Shareeah and its adherence to the injunctions of the Quraan and the Sunnah without any bias or rigidity. It pays great attention to Islaamic teachings. It works towards the Islaamic unity and solidarity. It supports the institution of promoting virtues and forbidding vices and honours those who work in the institution. It takes an excellent care of woman by teaching her the proper Islaamic way of dressing, encouraging her to remain chaste and modest and keeping her from mixing with alien men. This gives the peninsula girl an edge over her counterparts elsewhere in terms of chastity. And she is safe from filthy campaign that aims at liberating woman from her values and honour under the guise of a so-called freedom. This peninsula is also the champion of the greatest political cause that affects the Muslim Ummah in the contemporary times: the issue of the Aqsa, which was the first qiblah of the Muslims and the place from where the Prophet took his ascension to the heavens. May Allaah liberate the land for the Muslims. This is in addition to the support that this nation gives to the cause of Muslim minorities all over the world. Fellow Muslims! We are saying all this to remind ourselves of the blessings that Allaah endowed on us and to emphasise the importance of these values so that the young generation of today will know them and not be deceived by the glittering of modernisation. Also, we are saying this not to praise anybody or to attack anybody. We are only saying this for the sake of Allaah, then for the sake of the truth and history. Therefore, let the children of this peninsula know this. Let them follow the path of the righteous predecessors and uphold these excellent values. Let them deal with the changes of the time in the light of Islaamic moderation and far from extremism, negligence and defeatism in matters of belief, thoughts, education and media. Fellow Muslims! It has been the habit of the enemies to increase their mischief whenever the Muslims enjoy a new blessing or experience a calamity. They are today waging a malicious media war and spreading false accusations against this country and its call to the pure Islaam. They falsely accuse it of establishing a fifth school, which they call Wahabism. They also accuse it of terrorism among other false accusations. The more unfortunate thing, however, is that there are some Muslims who have sold themselves to their enemies. They talk about what they do not know and they parrot the accusations that the enemies make against their land and their brethren in faith. Whereas the proper thing that a Muslim should do regarding accusations like these is to view them in the light of the Quraan, the Sunnah and the sound reason. Dear brethren! Let us all remain steadfast on our belief in Islaamic Monotheism. Let up preserve our values, culture, civilisation and the achievements that this peninsula has made so that we can collectively build a civilisation that is greater than all civilisations as our forefathers had done. We must have a sense of responsibility and a confidence that are equal to the greatness of this honour. We must move forward on the path of the community of the Muslims under the banner of Tawheed. Let us revive the landmarks of this religion that have been exterminated and correct the misconceptions that people have about this religion. Let us do all this while avoiding actions that can cause harm to orders. In addition to protecting this religion and its law, we must also endeavour to benefit from the useful products of modern civilisation in all spheres of life without defeatism. We must work hard to provide for ourselves a happy life that combines between originality and modernity. Let all this be clear to those defeatists who have submitted themselves to the dictates of the enemy. Dear brethren! In spite of the excellent qualities, which Allaah endows on this country, we believe that perfection belongs to Allaah alone and that immunity from sins is only for the Prophets of Allaah. The fortunate is the one in whose hand good things happen and by whose hand evil things are prevented. We must therefore, preserve these qualities and through that, protect our religion in the face growing challenges and hostile waves that aim at destabilising this peninsula and turning away its young men and women from the path of truth. Allaah says, Verily, Allaah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allaah is All-Strong, All-Mighty. Those (Muslim rulers) who, if We give them power in the land, (they) enjoin Iqamat-as-Salt. (i.e. to perform the five compulsory congregational Salt (prayers) (the males in mosques)) to pay the Zakt and(Al-Anbiyaa 21:10) The place that this peninsula occupies in the world is like that of the Qiblah for the worshipper and the crown for the regalia. It is the abode of the Seal of the Prophets and the starting point of the noblest Divine Message. Its love is in the heart of every Muslim and its hatred is in the heart of every enemy. Everyone whose vision is not blurred with malice will realize that this reality is one of the landmarks of this religion. This peninsula has produced men who took part in the propagation of Islaam and in many charity activities in many parts of the world. May Allaah make all this purely for the sake of His pleasure. May He increase it in blessings, success and honour, and protect it against the evil plans of the enemies. May Allaah preserve this country for the service of Islaam and the Muslims and the entire humanity. May He also disgrace the enemies and the evil-wishers.they enjoin Al-Ma'rf (i.e. Islaamic Monotheism and all that Islaam orders one to do), and forbid Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism and all that Islaam has forbidden) (i.e. they make the Qur'n as the law of their country in all the spheres of life). And with Allaah rests the end of (all) matters (of creatures). (Al-Hajj 22:40-41) Dear brethren! All that is said about the qualities of this peninsula should not, in any way, be interpreted as a call to regionalism or racialism. The call that is championed by this peninsula is rather a call to pure Islaam that is universal. This is because the Prophet was sent to all the worlds and not to a particular region or race. This call is a source of honour for all Muslims. Allaah says, Indeed, We have sent down for you (O mankind) a Book, (the Quraan) in which there is your Reminder (or an honour for you i.e. honour for the one who follows the teaching of the Quraan and acts on its orders). Will you not then understand? |
