At the HCW pay per view Great American Smash , the commsih was involved in a handicap match pitting himself and a fan against Spike "the sharpman." In a move that shocked the world , it appeared that commsih was going to hit spike with a chair but he purposely hit the fan instead. Many young fans were seen crying in the crowd , there parents could not explain why their hero had joined p.Z.u. , and many people still wonder why to this day. This event obviously gave p.Z.u much more power in how things were run.
4. Thief deals with drug problems
ONe of the most beloved superstars , the thief , could not handle the pressures of HCW any more and he turned to alcohol and weed. Thief started his HCW career of great , winning the HCW championship very early on. However , he lost the title in his first defense . Many argue that this pushed him over the edge. Thief quickly became an embarassment to the HCW , appearing at autograph signings and even coming to pay per views drunk off his ass. he found a drinking partner in bad brad for a while , but who knows what happened there. Lets just hope thief can get back on track in 2001 with his father at his side.
3. Stalin found dead in hotel
HCW superstar Stalin was found dead in his hotel room in early July. The reason is still unknown to this day. Most agree that it was suicide , but the police say there is a slight chance it wasn't. Either case , it was a sad event not only for HCW and it's fans , but the whole world.
2. Mysterious Masked Man shot and killed in HCW ring
At the HCW pay per view St. Patrick's Day bar room brawl , a feud betweeen two wrestlers was taken to far. We We Man and M&M(mysterious masked man) had been feuding for months since December to Remember. Finnaly We We couldnt handle it anymore , and challenged M&M to come out and confront him. Out M&M came , with knife and cookie sheet in hand , intent to hurt We We. BUt in a terribly shocking and disturbing event , We We Man pulled a gun out of his coat , and shot M&M , who died instantly. We We Man was jailed , and he later escaped , but that is another story in it's own.
1. p.Z.u. forms
This event surely effected HCW the most in 2000. At the January ppv , Millenium Madness, former KWF star and then current HCW jobber Spike "The Sharpman" came out with something to say. He told a story about a greater power he met , one that he said would lead him to greatness. The mysterious power known only as Zen's reason was that HCW must be destroyed because they did not sign Dean Malenko earlier that month. Many thought Spike had finnaly lost it , but he went on to start winning matches , starting that night with a non-title victory over then C.E. champion Teddy MV. Later on in the night , newcomer to HCW Dan Marsh revealed he was also a member of p.Z.u. and the people of zen united proved their power again when Dan Marsh gained a victory over former HCW world champion the thundertaker. p.Z.u. went on to gain members in Jason Misner , the commish , Anarchy , Wifebeater , and even thundertaker. p.Z.u proved their power by capturing the world , chocolate eater , and tag team championships in the summer. They continued to reak havoc throughout the year , but many are wondering if they can stay together through 2001 because there is still heat between many members.
OVerall 2000 was a memorable year for HCW.
