THE LUTHERAN MANIFESTO
We, the sons and daughters of the Lutheran Reformation affirm and declare that;

 I.
Almighty God maker of heaven and earth, has redeemed the world through the all sufficient sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

II.
God the Holy Sprit freely brings to men assurance of forgiveness of sins in Christ by means of the divinely inspired Word of God and the divinely instituted sacraments of baptism and holy communion.

III.
Faith in Christ, the Savior is created in human hearts by the operation of God's Holy Spirit through the Gospel.

IV.
We accept the solemn obligations of proclaiming this Gospel to those who do not know Christ as their Savior, and of educating and training our youth in the responsibilities of citizenship in Christ's Kingdom.

V.
We serve God as citizens of His Kingdom by serving our fellowmen in Christian love and Christian faith and love compels us to minister to the needs of the poor, the sick, the broken in heart and the oppressed.

VI.
We recognize no authority greater than that of God and His Word and we owe obedience to no power which would cause us to violate the Commandments of God.

VII.
Human government is part of the divinely established order and we are pledged to uphold and defend just cause and the beneficent institutions for the welfare of our country and of the world.

VIII.
The advent of the nuclear age has not shortened the hand of God nor removed Jesus Christ from His throne as Ruler of the world and Head of His Church

IX.
There is a heavenly city prepared by God for those that love the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will return in Glory on the last day to judge the world in righteousness.

X.
In the midst of insecurity and amid the false hopes of the present time, the living Christ is the sure hope of all such as believe and trust in Him.
