Today I learned about how to use solar energy to power small appliances. The
solar panels use the light from the sun to create energy and use the energy.
Journal 2
The solar panels can be used to use less energy for the power, take away from
the power meter, and power small appliances. It can only be used in the sun,
it needs light, and it is expensive to install
Journal 3
Today we learned how to use solar thermal energy which uses the heat from
the sun to power appliances.
Journal 4
Today I learned that the hydroelectric power is used by having a dam and then
the water flowing through it
Journal 5
Today I did an activity where I made a solar cooker that heated up the water
to over one hundred degrees after ten minutes.

Fuel cells are used to power small appliances. They differ from technologies
in that technologies are more efficient but fuel cells but fuel cells are
cleaner

The nuclear power is powered by high explosive while atomic power is powered
by fusing or breaking atoms apart. Nuclear fission is the process of breaking
atoms apart and nuclear fusion is the process of fusing atoms together

Today I did the critical writing in which I learned that Moore's law states
that technology doubles every year. This law has held up for the past twenty
years. Then i took the test which reviewed all of the things I've learned
so far.

Today we started construction on the solar cooker. We are using a parabolic
solar cooker so that the light energy all focuses in one point bringing that
point to extremely high making it usable to cook things.
Journal Entry 10
Today we made the supports and set them up on a foam base. We tried to make
the angles just right but some of them became messed up. We hope that that
won't mess up our calculations.

Today we finished putting the Milar on the panel. After we finished we took
the panel outside to test it. The solar panel worked well because, and we
were able to burn wood with it.
