Summary:  Halan Kira, ex-smuggler, joins the New 
Republic on their search for Ysanne Isard.

	"Report to General Wedge Antilles." Was Admiral Ackbar's 
gravelly order.  I thought to myself.   Six years running a 
tramp freighter through the galaxy and now I'm ordered around 
by a Mon Calamari admiral.  Too many years of following my 
own orders, I figured.  Dressed in my New Republic star 
fighter pilot's dress uniform, I was all set to report to 
Wedge Antilles when I heard a voice behind me yelling my 
name.  "Hey, Halan." The voice caused my well-honed smuggler's 
reflexes to come into play and I pivoted, reaching for the 
blaster that usually was buckled to the holster on my right 
thigh.  Then I realized I was wearing a dress uniform.  "I 
should've known." I grumbled to myself. "Any beginning nerf-
herder would have realized that one doesn't wear weapons with 
the dress uniform."  A look up elicited a view of Wes Janson, 
Major Wes Janson, to be precise, striding towards me. 
	
	"Nice day, isn't it?  Sir." I replied immediately 
remembering that he was my senior officer.
