Work Experience Child/Career Development
2 Semesters 6 Credits (9-12)
This course is designed to prepare students for employment in early childhood education setting and day care services. It provides a foundation for study in higher education that leads to early childhood education and child-related careers. The course of study includes: stages of development, care of infants and children, exposure to appropriale guidance and discipline of children, on-the-job experience in a local facility serving young chilren, certification in American Red Cross CPR/First Aid and /or American Red Babysitter course, and employability skills.
