Letter of Introduction

My name is Ather Ahmed and currently, I am a UNLV senior attempting to obtain my degree in Health Care Administration with a minor in Business Law from UNLV in May 2005. I am seeking a position as a practicum student with your organization to obtain experience in the field of business development.

I have worked in the health care field for 2 ½ at Sunrise Hospital. I was working as a pharmacy intern, where I learned how a hospital functions, and operates. With the experience obtained from Sunrise, I gained an understanding of the problems health care institutions such as hospitals face on a daily basis.

Currently, I own a small business called IDRMOTORSPORTS, selling aftermarket performance and styling products for automobiles. Prior to working at Sunrise Hospital, I worked at a retail store called Circuit City, and at the Treasure Island Hotel. I feel that with my background in customer service, near completion of my degree, helping members of management, along with managing and operating my own company, that I am an outstanding candidate to fulfill any demanding management position.

My goal is to work in the business development department, because I feel it will provide me with the challenges I am seeking.I find business development as a fun, educational, and motivating department, which runs into challanges on a daily basis to keep the mind active.However,I am open to additional departments with available projects,which I also find to be of particular interest, these include; Human Resource management, Employee Relations,and Quality Assurance. My goal is to apply my knowledge and skills and become a successful Administrator with a firm that holds a reliable name in the health care industry.
