Ather Ahmed: A
Biographical Sketch
Ather Ahmed was
born in Las Vegas, NV
on November 30th, 1981.
Ather is the first born child to Iqbal and Afshan Ahmed. Brought up in a middle
class background, Ather’s family were immigrants from the country of Pakistan.
Along with his parents, he also has a little sister named Natasha Ahmed, who is
currently attending high school. For most of his life, Ather grew up in Las
Vegas, however spent three years of his elementary
school days in Northern California.
As Ather grew up,
he always looked highly upon the health care field, with dreams of becoming a
physician. Ather’s family background has been deeply rooted in the health care
field for many generations. As a motivational factor, Ather took honors courses
in high school with special emphasis in math and science. In May 2000, Ather
graduated with an impressive GPA, a full ride scholarship to UNLV, and a few
awards including the prestigious presidential award.
Ather was admitted
to UNLV as Biology major, where he later on changed his major to Health Care
Administration, adding along a minor in Business Law. After working at Sunrise
Hospital as a Pharmacy Intern,
Ather felt that the administrative side of the industry is more appealing to
his personality. Currently, Ather is running a small business called
Idrmotorsports.com, with plans on graduating from UNLV by May 2005.
