| * Most importantly and this is the first rule of them all, NO PROFANITY. Swear words such as hell, damn, crap are allowed but don't go any further. This is a PG rated board, but please keep things under control. * No sex, drugs, alcohol or gangs. If you don't like it, go find another RPG. * Your role-play character can be rude to others if that's how you want him/her to be. However, when you're out of character you cannot insult any other role- player, flame him/her or hurt others. If you do so, you'll get a warning and if you don't listen to the warning, you'll be expelled. * Your character cannot be Superman (or woman). What I mean is that you are not the strongest, the wisest and the supreme dictator (that's us ^_^). You can have some powers but don't go overboard. Remember, you're just a student. If you want to play your character a little differently, include it in your biography and if we think its okay, you can go ahead. * Since this is a Harry Potter RPG, things are according to the books. You cannot apparate/disapparate in Hogwarts, magically transport yourself to another planet blah blah blah. Also, even though James, Sirius and Peter did become animagi, you are not allowed to. Otherwise everything just gets complicated. * This is a very important role-playing rule. You cannot post the actions of any other character apart from your own. This also means that you cannot kill off anybody else's character unless you have been allowed to do so by that person him/herself. And neither can you say I talked to so and so and he said this without actually talking to them. * We encourage creativity in this RPG. So that means that you cannot be related to any character in the books. Also, you cannot have Wood, Thomas, Johnson etc. as a surname however common that is. * Finally, speak in a language that everyone understands. What I mean is no internet speak. Write complete words because that makes for better role-play. (No U for You or 4ever for Forever etc. etc.) Also, and we have a specific person in mind for this rule, please use proper grammar. If you aren't above the age of ten or you're English isn't too good, please hold off on role-playing for a while. However if you're seven and a child prodigy, you can go ahead. *winks* But no, seriously, we mean this. We'll probably ban you sooner of later and give you the address of some other place. * And that's it. Oh no, I forgot. One more rule. Have fun because that's what this RPG is finally all about. ^_~ |
