About the early part of year 2002, I suddenly felt the urge to sell my daily driver, a 1998 Honda City Lxi, for safety reasons. I just didnt feel safe in that car especially at high speeds. (knowing myself, having a light car is definitely not suited for me)
So around February of this year, I posted the City (Wendy) for sale. Alongside this my dad decided to offer his 1996 Honda Accord for sale. The deal was only one of the cars can be sold. So whichever was sold first was the deal. If the accord was to be sold, I would get the money because of the sale and they would get my car in return.
However this was not meant to be. As my City was in better shape than their car, it caught the eyes of more people than his car. Negotiations were on the way for the sale of my car. Alongside this negotiations, search for a replacement daily drive was on the way. I decided to get another MB to cater to my transportation needs. A lot of choices cropped up from a w116, a w201, a 123 sedan, coupe, and then a wagon.
Having practicality in mind, the wagon won hands down. In June 2, 2002 earnest money was given and the balance was paid in June 8, 2002. That Saturday afternoon, I drove back to Quezon City with my wagon. And isnt it just a nice timing, we (MBCP) had a meeting that night!... Time for the debut of Chester... hehehe... |
