EXPECTATIONS
There are high expectations for every student at H. B. duPont Middle School.  We expect everyone, staff and students alike, to do their best.

Mrs. Jenner has equally high expectations for students in her science classes.  In every class, every day, each student will be expected to:

       > Be ready to start class right away -- I am always ready!

       > Come prepared to work.  Always bring his/her science
notebook, pencils, folder, and the Agenda.

       > Fill in the Agenda
exactly as the assignment is stated on
          the board.

       > Follow our established classroom rules.

       > Follow reasonable directions and requests from the teacher.

       > Complete all classwork and all homework, to the best of
          his/her ability.

       > Work well with a partner or team
to get the job done.

       > Produce work that is neat, complete, accurate, and
          available on time.

       > Use new science vocabulary in speaking and writing.

       > Understand and apply science concepts introduced
          through instruction.

       > Ask questions in order to learn more.

       > Read about science every week--read newspaper articles,
magazines, books, or read on the Internet.  Keep up with
          current science.

       > Follow safe lab practices & procedures, as outlined in the
          classroom safety contract.
