The main purpose is to promote the establishment of Community Health Centers with Schools of Health in all Seventh-day Adventist churches worldwide. This is a very large undertaking, considering that there are about 5,000 churches and 1,000,000 church members just in North America, and more than ten times those numbers in the rest of the world. However, the instructions we have received are abundantly clear: "We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work." (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 7, p. 62)
