In general, I have strong interest in ecological modeling, arid / semi-arid ecosystems dynamics and plant ecology (plant-plant interactions, population viability and effects of disturbances). |
|
|
|
My current research project focuses on the effects of spatial gradients (climate and soil) and man-induced disturbances on the structure and dynamics of forest woodlands. The objectives of this study are to test hypothesis regarding the existence of multiple stable states in vegetation, and to study some of the factors suspected to be responsible for such stable states (spatial gradient, positive feedback and facilitation effect, disturbances, etc). |
