Duane "Duwango" Harmon began playing music at the age of 7, starting on drums but
switching over to guitar after numerous complaints from the parents (and also
switched from a left-handed player, to a righty). Duane started his career
with Nemesis at 18 and from there, moved onto Arc (with Joe O'Hara from
"Overdue" fame) and from there toured the east coast with Tantrum (also with
Joe O'Hara) for 2 years. From there it was onto a band called Maniac that
also toured the east coast with players like Joe Moses. Most recently he has
played with Hard Knox (including Kurt Dobkins and Bob Hellmann of "Prizoner"
fame) and Crash Landing with Keith Hobbs, Jim Wagner, Mark Castor and Gary
Jefferson. Duane's influences include Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin(Jimmy!), some
southern rock influences like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, and
ALOT of mid-eighties guitarists like George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), Steve
Vai (Whitesnake, solo) and many older "blues-based" guitarists such as Eric Clapton, and a little Beatles thrown in at times.
Duane has also jammed with numerous other Cincinnati based musicians over the
years (in "open jam" formats). Duane currently resides in Millville, Ohio (or
wherever his girlfriend tells him to live). His other interests include
travelling and live music video collecting, as well as learning things about
the law (not by his choice). Duane was born in Germany (in a place he
can't pronounce)
