HISTORIC BAPTIST DOCTRINE

God Has Chosen Us Before The Foundation Of The World
God is absolutely sovereign and God has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world. Is God working all things out according to the counsel of His will? If so, then if it is God's will to save so and so, then so and so will be saved. I do not deny the responsibility of man. Just because man can not do something apart from God, does not relieve the responsibility of man or his guilt.

Man has a will and he will's not to come to Christ. God has a will and does God fail to save all that He will's to save?

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

______________
Joh 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

In this verse, Jesus is praying to the Father. Is Jesus praying for every single person in the world or just those that are given to Him out of the world by the Father?
______________
Joh 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

Does believing make you a sheep or does it reveal that you are one?
______________
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

In this verse, who did Jesus give His life for?
______________
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
