| Free-will Is a myth. Here's why. Man does have a will, but man can not will to do something that he is unable to do. The human heart is wicked, totally separated from God and spiritually dead. A heart that is in this condition will not come to Christ to have life. Only life begats life and the human heart is DEAD. So the giver of all life has to come to that person and give him a new heart, so he can live. He takes out the heart of stone and put a heart of flesh in that will love God.
In John chapter 3, Jesus told Nicodemas that for one to have eternal life, he has to be born again. He also said that the Spirit blows or gives life where it will and so it is with everyone that is born of the Spirit. The Spirit gives life where it wills and God changes hearts.
