DRESS STANDARD

The dress code exists as a guiding principle aimed at moderation and good taste, comfort, and practicality. Our desire is to glorify God and to be a good example to the community. School uniforms help to set this example. We are proud to have our students dress in a look that is distinctively �our school�. All clothing must be modest, neat, clean, and in good repair.


The following requirements are for all students attending Humboldt Bay Christian School:


Girls: Uniform navy or khaki shorts, Uniform skorts or skirts, jumpers, or Uniform slacks, Uniform Polo style shirts or Uniform blouses in any solid color as long as they have a collars and buttons. Solid colored turtle necks and mock turtle neck shirts are also allowed under Uniform shirts/blouses. Only HBCS monogrammed or plain sweatshirts/jackets can be worn to school.


Boys: Uniform navy or khaki short or slacks, Uniform Polo style shirts with collars and buttons in any solid color. Solid colored turtle necks and mock turtle neck shirts are allowed under Uniform shirts. Only HBCS monogrammed or plain sweatshirts/jackets can be worn to school.




NO HATS OR SUNGLASSES MAY BE WORN IN THE CLASSROOMS.


Shoes: Quiet, suitable for classroom/play. No thongs/sandals without heel strap; shoes must cover toes.

Makeup: No unnatural or noticeable makeup is allowed.

Jewelry: No jewelry (including studs) is allowed.

Hair: Styles should not be extreme and hair color should be natural.
