| Pointe Claire, QC July 7, 2000, 3:00 AM I was stargazing by the river, July 7 ,3 AM.I saw what I thought was a very bright meteor. It was very hight up and incredibly fast. It only lasted 1.5 secs...The problem is that it didn't move like a meteor. It did a fishhook move and was gone. One thing I do know is that meteors don't change direction. The tail (?) was so bright. and much thicker than a reg. meteor as well. location,,,45 N 26' ,,73 W 50' ,,,looking south,,,60 degrees ALT. Sept-Iles, QC July 24, 2000, 10:26 PM I am reporting this incident for others in the Sept-Iles area. They don't speak English - only Montagnais/Innu (local native language) and French. I haven't seen the recorded images other than the one that I am forwarding with this message. It was sent to me by ((name deleted)), who witnessed this event. I have known him for 30 years, he used to be a native policeman. His description of the event seems factual and his observations very precise and without hesitation. Personnally, I tend to think that alot of these sightings have to do with atmospheric gases and northern lights type phenomena. ((name deleted)) wanted me to pass this info on to anyone who might be interested. If you have a french speaking member, he should get a response from him. I was told that the recorded video is still in the possession of one of ((name deleted)) neighbours. My description is not very good, because I wasn't there. His Email is ((address deleted)) Montreal (south of), QC October 3, 2000, 9:33 PM I saw 3 lights moving from north to south at a speed at least 2 or 3 times the speed of a commercial plane until i couln't see them anymore over the horizon. The particularity was that they were moving in the same direction but chasing one another, ziz zagging between each other, all keeping close together. I heard no noise of any sort. The sky was clear, i could see the stars very well. Three Rivers, QC December 23, 2000, 6:50 PM While travelling west on the main highway (40) between Three Rivers and Montreal I observed a bright red egg shaped object with an extremely bright red tail travelling from South to North at extreme velocity. It suddenly slowed noticeably and changed color from red to orange and continuing to slow down it changed to yellow then it just disappeared. I don't believe that it was a meteorite as not only was it low in the atmosphere and travelling on a level trajectory, but it slowed down very suddenly. Montreal, QC December 26, 2000, 6:00 PM On our way to my girlfriend's house for dinner, the day after Christmas, it was dark outside but clear sky, as we were parking the car in front of the house we noticed at first, it looked like the light of a fast air plane and then it became a ball of fire going across the sky. It sure was the first time ever we experienced such a thing. I thought it would be in the news at night but nothing was reported... Since I am very curious to find out if it was not a piece of the station in orbit that fell or else... Please clear this matter for me... An e-mail response only would be appreciated and confidentiality is demanded Thank you. Thankyou To The NUFORC For The Above Reports |
