Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada

August 1, 2000,  & Again On August 13, 2000,

Eugene H. Frison the MUFON Provincial Director reports that another Flying Black Triangle was observed in the region by a new set of witnesses on August 1, 2000. The local newspaper carried an article claiming three of these flying black triangles were spotted by multiple witnesses. Again, on August 13, 2000, another Flying Black Triangle was viewed by multiple witnesses. These sightings occurred in the River Bourgeois area of Cape Breton near the Atlantic Ocean. the Cape Breton Post newspaper article August 25, 2000, contains a good representation of one of the objects. This photo was taken from the television screen as the witness played the master tape for the media. Attempts are being made to obtain copies. In January of this year, a paperboy observed another Flying Black Triangle in a cemetery. This occurred in cape Breton (Grace Bay) and you published the incident  in Filer's Files # 6-2000, with an update in # 19-2000. I am presently investigating these incidents for MUFON and will keep you informed.

Thanks To Eugene H. Frison

New Glasgow, Nova Scotia

August 2000, 10:00 PM

Dear Sirs: While driving to an outside festival, "River front Days", in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, in the year 2000, I believe in August, (I can find the exact date if you please) at approx.10:00 PM, I watched as a large, triangular shaped object floated at a steady slow speed over my truck.

My window was down as the night was muggy, but I heard no sound from the object, which seemed to be flying rather low, similar to the height used by small aircraft landing at the near by airport. I was on one of the higher streets, driving toward the river front. The black object blocked out the stars as it passed, and seemed to circle the crowds below, returning and passing over my truck a second time. I say the speed was slow, in relation to the size, this seemed to me to be at least 40 fee down any side, was silent, had three lights, one at each tip, and from the bottom center seemed a spot of maybe light blue.

Thank you to Alex for the report (e-mail report)

Marion Bridge/Caribou Marsh Road, Halifax

September 19, 2000

Cadors No: 2000Ao547: Sydney Flight service station received a report from an individual at approximately 0050 zulu on September 19. The individual was at a friend's home in the Marion Bridge/Caribou Marsh road area and saw what appeared to be a stationary cylindrical object high in the sky. The object glowed white with flashing red and green strobes. It appeared to hover over the area and concerned these three individuals enough to call to report it.

They watched it hover for many minutes before phoning with the information. The object was also apparent to an individual from the tower roof and tower cab.the object did appear stationary (or moving very slowly) for some time. QM center was queried to see if there were any aircraft in the area that might explain this observance.

The controller reported that he was only working CDR1748 into Sidney and that there was another flight 90 east of Halifax at Flight level 250. CDR1748 was asked to relay any information they might have when hey approached the area 14 SW of YQY. Upon landing, the pilot relayed that he did not see anything unusual out there.
