| Saturdays game against Pomona, it saw Dean Backwell pull on the Hervey Bay Bombers jumper for the last time. Dean has picked up an Trannieship ans a AFL Develpmont Officer. But the game was not to be over shadowded by Dean leaving, the Bombersn went out on the field as they always do ready for a hard game and hard game it was it was the most physicakl game this yaer even though this season is only three games old. In the trying conditions which the game was played neither side seemed to have an advantage, however this was not reflected on the score board with the Bombers scoeing a convincing (Score Comming Soon)win over the Pomona side. | |||||||||||||||||||

The Power were out played all accross the park The Bombers have some things to work on themselvs before they are near last years form but given time to bond as a team the boys will become as strong if not stronger then they were last year. |

| The Bombers are this year playing under the guidance of a new coach Darryl Leach. Darryl was one of last years back to back premiership players and the league best and fairest. Darryl was forced to retire due to injury at the end of last season, Darryl has this year returned to the club to take on the Senior Coaching position left open when Back to Back premiership coach Troy Ignatenko who wanted to concentrate more on his footy. Darryl has big shoes to fill but he has the players and the respect to get the job done in 2004 | |||||||||||||||||||
