Mission

The voice repeater shall enable the communication between ham radio operators within the mountainous area of the Swiss south eastern alps. It also helps ham radio skiers to reach rescue and it serves as standby for general rescue action.

 

Technical Data

The VHF repeater HB9HAI operates at

145.6625 MHz with - 0.6 MHz

 

The repeater uses CTCSS (subaudio) at 141.3 Rx and Tx to protect against interference.

 

Trx:             ICOM RP 1050 with remote control

Ampli:        Teletec for reducing the load on the PA of the RP 1050 and for lightning protection.

Rx preamplifier

Antenna:    Celwave vertical, non directive, top height above ground ca. 20m, thus the top of the Antenna is slightly higher than the mountain ridge orth of the station

 

Area coverage: The canton of Grison with extensions towards north and north-east and the north-eastern midlands of Switzerland

 

Location  JN46VU

Mountain station of the Davos Parsenn cable car system accessing the famous Davos – Parsenn skiing paradise with its about 5 miles long runs to Küblis. The location of the station is exposed to high winds and lightning.

The station is difficult to access outside the winter season.
