| Nemo was my adorable black eyed fawn rat. He was my special boy and I had him his entire life. He was a very 'licky' rat and even licked my clothes, so I know it was more than just a taste thing; it's a way of showing affection. :) Unfortunately, his back legs started to weaken around 2 1/2 years old and soon he his back legs were useless. This is actually fairly common with aging rats, especially males. He could still get around and sometimes I'd pick up his back end and then he could move pretty fast! Badger(bottom right) was Nemo's brother and favorite buddy until he had to be put to sleep February 2001, sadly. Nemo passed away at the ripe old age (for a rat) of 3 years 5 months. He is greatly missed. |
