Daddy's Little Girl
By Theodore Davenport
"Mommy, Mommy!  Where'd daddy go?"
"Daddy's got a new job.  He left a minute ago."
"Yes, dear.  The twin towers, he'll be back at four"
"The one downtown, at the two big stores?"
"Mommy, Mommy!  We still having our picnic."
"When Daddy comes home.  You can pack the food as I fix it."
"Okay Mommy, if it helps pass the time.  Because when Daddy comes home he's gonna be all mine."
"C'mon Daddy's Girl.  Help me pack the basket.  We can watch teh news" She says expecting nothing drastic
~ An hours passed the foods all done.  Daddy's little girl is packing and having herself some fun.~
"Mommy, Mommy!  Look it's where daddy works"
"Baby it's just a movie.  You see that plane off course."
"What channel is this, Mommy?  This movie looks new"
"OH MY GOD BABY!  ITS THE NEWS CHANNEL 2"
~ The Second plane hits and the first building crashes.  Every moment is slow, but the time eventually passes.  Mommy's in awe, but Daddy's Little Girl knows not a thing.  All of a sudden the phone then unexpectedly rings.~
"Hello?  Who's this, MY GOD WILL IT'S YOU! What's that in the background?"
"NO... TELL ME IT'S NOT TRUE!"
"I'll tell baby you love her.  What are we to do?
"Sweetie I will miss and ALWAYS love you."
"Daddy didn't come home and is nowhere to be found.  We couldn't even get the chance to commit his body to the ground.  Now I Daddy's Girl, can have no picnic with Daddy.  Terrorism took that, and all else that made me happy."
