"So This is Christmas"
Come on into our kitchen. Help yourself to the refreshments. Would you like cup of cappuccino or Russian tea? There are cheese straws and cookies, too.
The table is set with my Christmas china. I have the
book "A Cup of Christmas Tea" placed on the table with a Christmas teacup on top
of it. One of my best friends, who dearly loved Christmas, gave me this cup for
Christmas just before she died. The cup has a teabag inside with a note that reads:
When the last gift is wrapped-
The last cookie baked and the star glows atop the tree, Kick off your shoes. Curl up with
a book and relax with a cup of hot tea! MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Claire Becky, an
original Cabbage Patch doll, always has to
be dressed in her Christmas finery and placed in the antique
highchair at the table. She is holding a little bear that I cross
stitched and stuffed. I never know where her pacifier will be--
my grown son loves to pick on her. Ha!
I cross stitched this Christmas tree and placed it in a wooden
hoop. I glued lace around it. The tree has 25 tiny bells sown on it.
Beginning
the first day of December, you take an ornament from the outside circle
and place it on the corresponding number of the day. By December 24,
the tree is decorated. On Christmas morning you place the last ornament
which is an angel, on the top. I glued magnets around the back on the
wooden hoop and place it on the front of the refrigerator. The whole family enjoys
this.
I hope you enjoyed your refreshments. Now come on down the hall.....
