| Tracey Malcolm Landon was born in a very small Mid-Western town, the second of three kids. He didn't speak until he was five, worrying his mother. He was always attatched to his older brother, Jimmie, who finally was able to get Tracey to talk. Tracey suffered also from frequent Night-Terrors. When Tracey started school, it was discovered that he had dislexia. His mother didn't sympathize with him at all, which contributed to his hateful, bitter attitude towards books and reading. When Tracey was a teenager, he insisted that he be called "Trace"... but his mother refused to do as he asked and always called him Tracey. Trace's older brother was in a car accident that killed him, and Trace ran away from home. At barely sixteen, he was living away from his family with a small group of other teenagers, getting whatever parts he could at the town's theatre company. Without any professional training beyond what he'd gotten in high school before dropping out, Trace had to look for something to help him become a success. He found out very quickly that his looks could do exactly that for him. People commented on how handsome and/or cute he looked, how he "should be in movies" and Trace started using it to his advantage to get jobs, parts in plays, etc. Trace played a young King Arthur in a play about the legendary character, and was spied by a casting director vacationing there from California. The woman approached him about his performance. She asked him if he could think about coming out to California for a small part in a movie she was casting. Trace agreed, and moved to California. Several small parts later, he had used his talent and looks to land a lead part in a movie. The casting director was the woman who had asked him to come to California (rumors say they were dating at the time). The movie became a huge hit-- with a sequel that followed that did almost as well. By the time Trace was twenty-years-old, he was married to a popular actress seventeen years his senior, and living in a large home outside of L.A. The marriage dissolved quickly and a few movies and marriages later, Trace Landon was the new big thing. His popularity rose, (as did the time the tabloids spent gossiping about him), fan clubs sprang up, his face started frequenting magazine covers... all despite his obvious self-centered, macho attitude and his reputation for cheating on his wives and girlfriends. Trace Landon moved out of California and settled in the southwest, when he was in his early thirties. Not too long after he bought a home with his girlfriend, Vanessa Whitewater, Daemon Foster bought a house near-by. |
