The Mikado
A Japanese schoolgirl in 'The Mikado'

I think this production was the most fun of any I have ever been a part of, which would explain the disproportionate amount of pictures! The cast was terrific, and the production was beautiful and challenging. Our choreography was very intense - not typical for an operetta! We received very positive recognition for it,  and several awards. I only wish I could've seen what it looked like from the audience!

(Right) I loved this costume! Not only was it very comfortable, but it was gorgeous - or I thought so! It was made of hand dyed silk, and the pattern was hand painted and designed specifically for my costume. The fabric in the band around my waist, called an obi (not sure on spelling!), was imported from Japan.
(Above) The entire cast! Well, nearly - a few were missing. I'm in the middle in the blue! Like that helps...

(Right) The production design was lovely. Those platforms are actually like giant japanese lanterns - they could be picked up and carried by ropes on the sides. They glowed from lights on the inside. You can barely see the ramp in the background, but it also had lights inside. I'm on the far right.
