General Membership meeting

Board Members present:   Juan Ortiz, Carlos Berber, Dan Martinez, Mitch Nakashima, Ricardo Torres, Jose Fernandez, Vern Morley.

Garden members.

 

It was announced to those present that the Administrative Committee of the Hayward Community Gardens has determined that plot fees shall be set at $25 for financial hardship, $50 for Hayward residents based on the 80% median for low income, $75 for members with income above the maximum, and $100 for members out of the HARD area.   It was also explained what documentation was necessary to prove income and residency and that information including dates and times for registration would be sent to all members.  

 

New members can only be assigned one plot.   Returning members with multiple plots will be allowed to keep more than one garden only if the gardens were kept clean and the members were in good standing.    All plots will be inspected before any member can renew membership for 2004.

 

Those present were reminded of the process for removing members from the garden as outlined in the HCG bylaws.
