Infatuation

By:  Willa Suvis
Rating:
R
Official Summary:
Three years after the fact, Jareth and Sarah are tormented by dreams of one another which not only interrupt their lives but also the well-being of the Underground and its creatures.  Fortunately, help comes from an unexpected place.
What Hayseed says:
The romance here is pretty run-of-the-mill, but I adore the Hoggle arc, so I had to recommend it.  You'll see what I mean...

Broken Wings

By:  KC
Rating:
PG-13
Official Summary:
Jareth needs help to save his Labyrinth.
What Hayseed says:
Didn't I just say that DL was an archetypal story?  This one happens to be an excellent version of a similar storyline, most noteworthy for its depiction of the Labyrinth itself.  It has just an edge of danger and a hint of darkness, which I think serves to remind us that Henson's movie only gave us a child's eye-view into a potentially more twisted world.

Dark Labyrinth

By:  Helen Fayle
Rating:
PG-13, maybe?
Official Summary:
Set three years after the film, the story begins with Sarah receiving a cry for help from a most unexpected quarter.
What Hayseed says: This one has won a ton of awards, I should mention, so it comes well-recommended independent of anything I say.  It established one of the archetypal Labyrinth storylines and did it very well (Devin is a totally lovable character, and the goblins are hilarious).

The Enticement

By:  ScatteredLogic, again
Rating:
NC-17
Official Summary:
In exchange for returning to the Labyrinth, Sarah is offered what she desires the most.  She's about to learn there is a huge difference between reality and fantasy.
What Hayseed says:
What I really like here is that Jareth is brought to Sarah's world, not the other way around.  There aren't enough of these fics.  It also puts them on equal footing, which just makes the romance that much more interesting.

A Necessary Deception

By:  ScatteredLogic
Rating:
NC-17
Official Summary:
Sarah thought her defeat of the Goblin King nine years ago was a dream.  It was real.  But it was also a lie.
What Hayseed says:
This story is simply a solid J/S tale, but it's most noteworthy for successfully managing to blend Henson's canon with the traditional Seelie Court mythology, which is often handled awkwardly in fics.  The twist is also quite nice.
