| The Glass is Always Half-Naked By: Damnmydooah Rating: R Official Summary: A fluke summer and a broken porch have a very desired effect on Luke and Lorelai. What Hayseed says: I admit freely that the summary could use a bit of work (okay, a lot of work), but the Lorelai-voice here is great. Surprisingly mature, given the actual content of the story, which is frackin' hilarious. Where can I find this story? Pit of Voles, unfortunately Get It on the Table By: Anna S Rating: R Official Summary: She was like a human tornado, leaving destruction and a strange emptiness in her wake. What Hayseed says: Every now and again, you'll stumble across one of those 'snapshot' stories. You know, one that manages to convey exactly the depth of emotion necessary to paint the correct picture. A lovely and true Luke POV. Where can I find this story? A direct link Even in Enmity By: Mala Rating: R Official Summary: They hate each other. What Hayseed says: Ooh... yummy Dean/Jess slash. Like most of my slash, I like my D/J in short bits, so that the potential for FluffyGayBoys is kept to a minimum (the day Dean Forrester brings Jess Mariano flowers is the day that I eat my left shoe). And this is just spectacular. Where can I find this story? A direct link Something More By: Megan Reilly Rating: PG-13, maybe? Official Summary: The girls have returned from Europe. Everything seems different now. Especially the way Lorelai feels about Luke. What Hayseed says: This is post-S3, so it's pretty AU from the current incarnation of the show. And it's another one of those well-done epics that I said were so rare. This one is especially fun for the SlightlyWhiny!Rory arc that we don't get to see much (if you consider the events of Raincoats and Daisy Miller, it's particularly cool, really) anywhere else. Again, I love the natural feel of the LL relationship in this one. Where can I find this story? Megan's site. Itemized Instructions on Getting the Glow By: Keren Ziv Rating: PG-13 Official Summary: They've just made plans for a horse-drawn carriage and a movie night, so this gives her a perfect excuse to knock over a salt shaker as she leaves the diner. What Hayseed says: This one might as well be an episode of the actual show. And the LL interaction? Priceless. Not to mention Kirk and the carriage. Where can I find this story? Pit of Voles Joining By: netherfield Rating: PG-13 Official Summary: A post-S4 finale piece for the summer. Challenges arise on the road from independence to joining. What Hayseed says: One of very few JavaJunkie epic stories out there that isn't absolute fluffy crud. There's a definite twist that I quite like here, but I won't spoil it for you.
