New York is sooooo much fun! You hear that everything is big, and it is...BIG. We did so much in 5 days that we hardly needed a hotel room. The New Yorker's were really friendly - wether they are genuine or not it doesnt matter. The meals were so big we couldnt finish dinner once. We thought tipping would be annoying but the service was so good I would rather pay 5 dollars more for great service.
Anyway it was an amazing place, even the night I got food poisoning from a salmon bagel didnt stop us (The sickest Ive Ever been!)
It was the perfect place to try out our new camera - Have a look below!  :-)
Central park is massive! over 800 Acres smack bam in the middle of the city. Bands like the Brooklyn Rythm Masters (below) were playing jazz through the day and you can walk for hours and still get no where!
The hotel was right on Broadway, next to where the Letterman show was filmed. It was classic, they closed the whole road so they could fire a guy out of a giant rocket..Only in .....
It hit us we were there when we first saw the Statue of Liberty, Its bigger than expected, but the empire state building was way smaller than I thought it would be. Its still over 300 meters high but all the
other huge buildings put your perspective out of whack.
This was a massive fire on a construction site. They seem so layed back, we were in a pizza place and 15 firefighters came in to get pizza and played with all the kids while they waited.
The open space in this photo is where the Twin Towers used to be (Ground Zero).
It was amazing to sit there and think about the scale and impact of what actually happened there.

The sculpture on the right was in one of the towers when it collapsed, you can see the damage all over it.
The strawberry fields in Central park - over the road from where John Lennon was shot. While we were sitting there we were talking to this couple for about 15 minutes who knew a lot about John Lenon and met him years ago. People started asking the couple we were chatting to for autographs, turns out he was Abe Vigoda AKA "Fish" who was in the God Father and had a show years ago. They seemed to like that we had no idea who they were.
Abe Vigoda "Fish"
I think he looks familiar?
The view from the top of the Empire State Building. Once your up there you realise it is actually massive.

This is how quick New York rips your wallet apart - and I dont look happy about it..
There were squirrels everywhere, and they're definately not scared of people!
Now we've been there we cant wait to go back- Hopefully soon!
Back to the damn office today, but ive got a mean view from my desk!
