We spent 7 days in Morocco, and travelled over 1000km in a 4 wheel drive with 7 of us packed in.
The cool thing is we got away from the main touristy routes and saw heaps of amazing places. Every day it was over 35 degrees, which was hard to get used to, It was definately an intrepid Journey!
Jimmi Hendrix, castles made of sand -
This is his inspiration for the song from his days in Morocco
Essaouira, A coastal town with endless markets, people and smells. I have never seen anything else like it.
A strange scene
In the 80s an artist painted these massive rocks in the desert. It was about a thousand degrees, and a good place for off road driving, (We nearly Rolled)
This donkey ride was swapped for some bread and olives. The owners were just walking to the end of the beach (and look how far that is)He was a nice donkey, a little slow but does the job.

This is the view from the terrace of a ladys house we stayed in for a night. She rana b&b, and cooked us a barbe, There were strange chanting sounds all night.

We stayed inside this 13th century barrcks for a night. They also cooked us dinner, and we all slept on the floor in a big lounge like room. Its taken 10 years to partly rebuild after an earthquake and they offer accomodation to help fund the re-building. It was a really cool place to stay.
On the way to Marrakesh, we drove over the famous Atlas mountains, altitude 2.1km, There were even little men selling things at the very top!
We stumbled accross this place while we were on the road and stayed for a while. Everyone was really friendly.
