Our Senior Management Team
From the start Sterling's business strategy has been to provide high quality, high technology payment services that are focused on the real needs of Merchants nationwide.  At Sterling the skills of our senior management team precisely match the skills and experience needed to assure our successful execution of our business strategy.  As you read the biographical sketches below, you will find that our business strategy is tied to the experience and knowledge of the memebers of our senior management team.

Sterling's President, Paul Hunter began his career as a securities broker, with the personal responsibility of providing for the growth and safety his clients' investment funds.  from working with successful entrepreneurs who were his investment clients, over a period of a decade owned and managed a service based business that grew to have 160 employees.  Later, he also served as an advisor/director of a multi-state convenienece store chain, a national food service equipment manufacturer, a bank holding company and a technology developer for merchant payment processing.

Since the late 1980's,
Executive Vice President, Ellen Hudec has been deeply involved in the Merchant payment processing industry.  As Sterling founders, Paul and Ellen were determined to name the compay in a way that cleaarly reflected its services objectives. Ellen has been engaged in a wide variety of marketing, product development, and sales activities. It is Ellen's decade plus experience in creating, energizing, and growing large teams of community based salespeople that lies at the core of her contributionas a member of Sterling's senior management team.

Senior Vice President, Sean Riley brings to Sterling his three decades of experience in payment processing.  He has worked on the financial side, the sales side, the technology side, and the operational side of payment processing.  In his early years in banking, Sean participated in the development of ground breaking technology to speed the processing of card payments.  Inmediately before coming to Sterling, Sean headed up sales and relationship management for the second largest merchant processor in the USA.

David Meyer, Senior Vice President
- for a decade and a half, managed the bankcard center of a bank which pionered eletronic capture in Florida.  In addition, David's responsibilities included managing the relationships with 230 agent banks, along with independent sales organizations.  The result was the creation of one of the largest merchant acquiring operations in the Southeast.  Later, he moved to start a new cardholder service center for an association of credit unions which ultimately grew to service over 6 million cardholders.   David has served as a board member for a debit card processing network and various national associations concerned with electronic funds transactions, credit card operations and card terminal services.

With three decades of experience in card transaction processing,
John Miglino, Sterling's Vice President has focused primarily on operations related issues and brand management issues.  John managed operations of an association of credit unions.  It grew to a membership of over 500 credit unions across the country.  In this environment, his experience was enriched by all the challenges associated with rapid growth, rapidly changing card markets, and the complex overlay of individual operations requirements for 500 credit unions across multiple credit card and debit card product lines.

From a brand management perspective, John's intellectual property contributions to Sterling are also invaluable.  developing new product and service identities, marshalling a wide variety of advertising and marketing media, and coordinating complex product and information releases are all important keys to assuring that Sterling is able to deploy new technology to new market segments quickly and efficiently.
