We were two, lonely people, destine to meet
To share, loving words
So soft, gentle and sweet
Each moment, is more precious, than diamonds or pearls
I truly love you, I want to be, your girl
My heart and soul, are yours to keep
When we're apart, I'm empty and weak
Sad and blue, I gently weep
Tears, slowly slide, down my cheeks
Your love so strong, I feel it deep
I look to my heart, for you, I seek
There you are, so close, but yet so far
Before, I lay myself down, to sleep
I wish upon, the brightest star
To have you, as my own, to keep
And all the love, we sow, each other's to reap
