| SQUAD MEMBER (PVT/PFC/CPL): The squad member is the basic element and foundation of the Program. It is the responsibility of the squad member to be fully prepared for training/meetings. It is the squad member's individual responsibility to arrive for training at the prescribed place and time in the proper uniform and with the designated equipment. It is also the squad member's responsibility to learn as much as possible through training and individual study, because at any time it may become the responsibility of any squad member to assume the duties of the next higher position, the Team Leader. | 1. The Team Leader (TL) is the first link in the chain of command and is under the direct supervision of the squad leader. The Team Leader must be fully prepared for each meeting/activity, set the example in military bearing and command presence, and ensure that all members of the team are prepared. The Team Leader must know the personnel assigned to his team. He must be flexible and responsible to both his subordinates and his leaders. | 1. The Platoon Sergeant (PSG) must know his SLs in order to evaluate their performance. Therefore, the PSG must be available to the platoon during all training. The PSG should correct subordinates, evaluate their potential for leadership and set the example toward accomplishing the goals of the platoon. The PSG must maintain close coordination with the PL and SLs to insure that the flow of information is complete. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| PLATOON LEADER (2LT): | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. The Platoon Leader (PL) is the primary leader of the platoon and is the officer responsible for its conducted level of training proficiency. The PL is charged with the responsibility for the conduct of training during the training/meetings, unless a designated Training Officer has been made responsible for a particular block of instruction. The PL is the key-decision maker and planner in the platoon and must be abreast of all needs of the platoon members at all times. The PL must be responsive to the needs of the platoon members as well as the requirements of mission accomplishment. The PL is responsible for everything the platoon accomplishes or fails to accomplish. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| a. Monitor all training conducted for the platoon, whether by members of the platoon or by personnel not assigned to the platoon. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| b. Keep informed regarding the size of the platoon as well as the state of proficiency of each platoon member. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| c. Keep the Company Commander informed concerning the status of the platoon. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| d. Supervise subordinate leaders. Ensure regular leader meetings are conducted within the platoon. Encourage them to take on increasing levels of responsibility, while giving them guidance concerning their level or proficiency. | 1. The Company Executive Officer (XO) is the primary manager for all administration and logistical support within the company. The XO is responsible to the Company Commander as a training coordinator. It is the XO's task to manage all training administration, including personnel accountability. The XO is also responsible for company logistical requirements for mission accomplishment. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| b.�������� Ensure all platoon leaders are kept abreast of the upcoming requirements for training and any changes in the schedule that may occur. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| c.�������� Monitor training that is conducted by the Platoon within the Company to ensure all requirements are satisfied. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| d.�������� Keep the Company Commander informed concerning the status of company administration, logistics and training. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 1.�������� The Company Commander is the key decision maker and resource manager of the company. The commander must insure that all tasks given the company are carried out to successful completion and is directly responsible for everything the unit does or fails to do. As such, it is imperative that the commander be aware of the state of proficiency of the unit and the needs of all company personnel to successfully accomplish the unit missions. He or she is responsible for the administration of the leadership assessment program in his or her unit. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2.�������� Duties: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| a. The Company Commander is responsible for all training conducted by or for his or her unit, the accountability of all personnel assigned, and for all equipment assigned to the company. The commander insures that his or her personnel receive the feedback from evaluations and spot observations that may have been done on them. As a matter of policy, the commander will insure that every student who serves in a leadership position at a lab receives feedback from the cadet chain of command prior to the end of the training day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| b. Use the chain of command to disseminate information, delegate tasks and receive information. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 1.�������� The Junior Advisor/Tactical Training Officer (TAC) is the officer responsible for the preparation and conduct of all training assigned by the Commander or the Senior Advisor. The TAC insures that the training conducted accomplishes objectives as established and provides participants the greatest possible benefit. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2.�������� Duties: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| a.�������� Prepare a written outline of task, condition, and standards for each class to be presented. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| b.�������� Obtain all necessary supplies and training aids from the appropriate sources. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| c.�������� Rehearse all training one week or as directed prior to presentation to cadets. TACs will be required to present training to the Commander or the Senior Advisor prior to presentation to cadets. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| d.�������� Conduct instruction in a timely and effective manner. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| e.�������� Insure the return of unexpended supplies and training aids to proponent. Insure that the facility used for training is clean and in its original condition prior to departure from the training area. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| f. TACs will fall-in in the Headquarters Platoon during all accountability formations or as directed by the Commander. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Senior Advisor: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1.�������� The Senior Advisor is responsible for the planning, organization, and dissemination of all information related to training. This responsibility includes field exercises, meetings, and all club/activities. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2. Duties: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| a.�������� Training: All required training is to be carried out primarily by the TAC officers. Necessary training aids, resources, transportation and equipment are to be coordinated to insure that training goes on as scheduled, in a professional manner. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| b.�������� Plans: All field training requires extensive detailed planning. Plans must be thorough enough to eliminate confusion and answer all anticipated questions. The 5-paragraph operations order format will be used for all plans of training and operations past, present and future. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| c. Instruction: Certain periods of training may be designated to be conducted by personnel other than members of the chain of command. It is the Senior Advisor 's responsibility to insure that instructors are identified, training aids and equipment are provided, and that the instructor is thoroughly rehearsed. Unprofessional training will not be tolerated. The primary quality controller for training is the Senior Advisor. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| d.�������� Liaison: The Senior Advisor will conduct liaison with the staff sections, companies, the cadre, support units (if necessary) and parents. The Senior Advisor is expected to visit all training sites in advance of the event to perform a reconnaissance. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| e.�������� Will prepare/conduct an after action report prior to the conclusion of the tour of duty. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
