Words to ponder
I have noticed several times terms Mixed Blood and Full Blood.  Actually the first term is correct.  I will accept the term full blood if it is associated with being full blood native of Turtle Island, not full blood of one particular natioin of this Island.  Over the thousands of years our people have been here we have arranged marriages amoung each others tribes for hunting, growth or peace.  We have raided other of our peoples tribes and taken slaves, some of which became part of that tribe, usually the women becoming wives.  Some like my people just went exploring and met other Nations this island and mixed with them.  I am Cherokee, but I also have Blackfoot blood in me.  I follow the Cherokee path, but I also honor my Blackfoot blood as well.  I have been to gatherings with my brothers from the other nations and I have been accepted amoung them because I came in Peace and with honor and showed respect for them and their ways.  We are the Keepers of our Mother Earth.  There is still a lot of anger and hate toward those who came here and took from us and destroyed the beauty of our Island.  Looking at history as it is written, I might add that it  was written by in a way  so that those writing it would look good.  Every continent except this one the people used and means possible to rule the world.  they brought that insanity here.
The plain and simple truth is that when they got a foot into our door, Turtle Island, they started shipping their criminals and mentally challenged people here.  In doing so they rid themselves of them.  Yes their military as well as some government officials were here as well.  They too were people they were tired of and wanted to get rid of.  To this day their decendents do not know the meaning of truth, honor or respect.  Just deception, manipulation and personal gain taking what ever means necessary to do so.  They will thank you with one hand and stab you in teh back with the other.  There will come a day when their circle will come back around and they will pay for what they have done.  If we the decendents of the first ones here on Turtle Island ever want to be heard again we can not do it with many voices, it has to be done with one strong voice.  I am not saying that we should all do things the same or try to follow each others paths or even participate in teh same ceremonies.  I am saying that we do have common ground.  We have our Mother Earth, we are all natives of Turtle Island, we were all nearly driven to extinction, some actually were, we were all treated worse than animals and some still are, we have to be registered and tagged as animals.  Walk up to a white man, a yellow man, a black man and ask them for their card that proves they are what they claim to be.  They will not have one.  Then why should we?  They fear us, that is why they wish to keep track of us.  In this country we are supposed to have freedom of religion.  That does not apply to our people, just theirs.  They do not understand our connection to our Mother Earth or even to the ancient ones(spirits).  When we stop fighting amoung ourselveswhich I believe they were the ones who started this fighting, we can become strong, we can become as one voice and then we can be heard.  They figured out long ago if they keep us fighting amoung ourselves then they don't have to worry about us fighting them.  Pretty good plan, divide and conquer.  I am in no way militant, just a native of Turtle Island and proud of my heritage, be it mixed.
